Recently, the technology company of Seville origin, SOLTEL, has been awarded the contract for the provision of fiber optic switches for the information systems of the Andalusian Energy Agency. This agreement seeks to improve the Agency's technological infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operation of your data storage systems.
Current situation and objectives of the Andalusian Energy Agency
Currently, the Agency operates with a range of data storage equipment, with different hardware levels depending on the type of information. These data storage systems have FC interfaces and are in turn interconnected with the servers that use this storage as the basis of the service they provide.
This award implies supply fiber switches to equip the information systems of the Andalusian Energy Agency. SOLTEL will also be responsible for configure the equipment for startup.
Scope and conditions of this award
For good practice,The Agency establishes a series of technical specifications which are detailed throughout the contract. These will be of vital importance and will be fully met or provided with superior equivalents by Soltel's excellent service.
Regarding the basic hardware and software, se establecen requisitos mínimos para el material a suministrar, garantizando un estándar de calidad. Por esto último, se incluyen especificaciones sobre garantía, soporte y mantenimiento de los equipos.
Así, Soltel, proporcionará dos nuevos switches de FC que contarán un valor igual o superior de las características detalladas en el contrato, siendo estos dos equipos redundantes y exactamente iguales con dos PSU, licencias de, al menos, 24 puertos a 32Gbps FC, compatibilidad con sistemas de almacenamiento NetApp y HP MSA P2000, y capacidades de gestión remota y diagnóstico, entre otras.
