The Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (ACCUA) awards Soltel the supply of its infrastructure licenses

Soltel has been selected as the winning bidder for the contract to supply technological infrastructure licenses of the Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (ACCUA)This project seeks the technological modernization of the Agency, promoting quality in the Andalusian university and scientific system.

 

The Agency's objective

The overall purpose of ACCUA is to promote the quality of the Andalusian Knowledge System, in accordance with international scientific and academic standards, and to provide Universities, Higher Education Centers, Research Institutions and other Agents of the Andalusian Knowledge System, with the criteria and quality references that allow them to optimally fulfill their social function.

 

Strategic systems update

The award includes the renewal of original manufacturer licenses for key tools and systems at ACCUA's locations in Sevilla and Córdoba, thus ensuring official support and the possibility of constant updates in the event of technical incidents.

 

The items included in the supply are:

  • VMware Licenses:These licenses enable software updates, as well as manufacturer support for malfunctions and incidents.
  • VEEAM Licenses: They allow you to keep the data backup and recovery system up to date, guaranteeing technical support for the tool and effective protection of the information.
  • Fortinet firewall licenses: They provide advanced cybersecurity services, including threat protection, content filtering, and application control, with comprehensive support from the manufacturer.
  • Windows Server Licenses: They correspond to the operating system required for three physical servers, providing a robust and legally enabled foundation for the operation of the agency's IT environments.

Security and regulatory compliance

This infrastructure service complies with the requirements of National Security Scheme (ENS)guaranteeing the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the information. Furthermore, the principles of personal data protection established in current legislation are respected.

Therefore, attention will also be given to the Internal regulations of the Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia regarding ICT Security; and the best security practices outlined in the document series must be followed. CCN-STIC (National Cryptologic Center – Information and Communications Technology Security) and applicable procedures developed by the Corporate ICT Security Unit of the Junta de Andalucía.

Regarding supply contracts, in addition to this award, Soltel has recently been awarded the contract for the supply of professional computer equipment Mercasevilla, this includes high-end laptops with a comprehensive three-year warranty. This partnership involves the delivery of equipment that meets demanding technical standards, as well as the responsible disposal of old devices, in compliance with regulations on electronic waste and information security.
