It has been participating since 2020 and has developed the collaborative tool for the circular economy
A delegation from Soltel will soon travel to the Bluepoint Conference and Business Centre in Brussels to participate in the closing event of the C-SERVEES project, in which the technology company has been involved since 2020, on October 18 and 19. The main objective of this event is to present and discuss the results of the C-SERVEES and ReCiPSS projects, as well as the main conclusions drawn and relevant recommendations for Circular Economy policies in Europe. The final event is titled “Paving the way for innovative Circular Economy products and services in the electronic and automotive sectors: Lessons learned and way forward.” Soltel will participate as a speaker alongside the other entities involved in the project.
C-SERVEES has taken on the challenge of promoting a resource-efficient circular economy in the electrical and electronics (E&E) sector by developing, testing, validating, and transferring new circular economy business models (CEBMs) based on systemic eco-innovative services. These services include: the green leasing of EEE (electrical/electronic equipment), product customization, improved management of WEEE (recycled electrical and electronic equipment), and ICT services that support other eco-services. To achieve this, ICT tools have been developed to drive these eco-innovative services, enabling C-SERVEES to fully leverage the potential and synergies of the two major revolutions of our time: the circular economy and Industry 4.0.
Soltel has been part of the consortium as an ICT company responsible for developing the collaborative tool for information exchange among the different actors in the value chain throughout the lifecycle of various EEE (Electronic Equipment). The platform developed by Soltel has acted as a controlled communication channel that has allowed producers to share useful information for the different phases of an EEE's life, from repair and disassembly manuals to information on specific components.
In the coming days, the progress of the tool and the evolution of a project designed to transform the E&E sector into a circular and Industry 4.0 industry will be analyzed, creating new opportunities for end users and contributing to environmental protection and the circular economy. The NGO EMAUS, which employs people at risk of social exclusion and is responsible for repairing and preparing WEEE for reuse, has participated in the process. It's a challenge where everyone involved in the supply chain benefits, but above all, the planet.
