SACROPS: SYSTEM FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE OLIVE TREE CULTIVATION BY MEANS OF HYPERSPECTRAL TECHNOLOGY AND THE APPLICATION OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES.

The project is financed by the CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, with a grant from FEDER funds through the “Operative Program for Intelligent Growth 2014-2020”, and from CDTI’s equity.

Objective: development of a system aimed to monitor the health of olive crops and allow early detection and diagnosis of the symptoms of common plagues and diseases, by means of the combination of different remote sensing techniques and a platform based on hyperspectral technology to detect target substances on the plants surface. The analysis of the hyperspectral images provides also information about the fruit’s maturity level and their oil content to make accurate predictions on the expected performance of the crop and to determine the best moment to harvest.
