SACROPS: SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING OLIVE CROPS THROUGH HYPERSPECTRAL TECHNOLOGY AND THE APPLICATION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES.
Project subsidized by the CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness with aid co-financed by ERDF funds through the “Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020” and CDTI's own funds.
Objective: To develop a system for monitoring the health of olive crops and enabling the early detection of common pests and diseases, by combining different remote sensing technologies and a hyperspectral imaging platform to detect substances on the plant surface. The analysis of hyperspectral images also allows for determining the fruit's ripeness and oil content to predict crop yield and optimize harvest time.
