Soltel is working on a new research project to develop a plant recognition system based on fuzzy logic and image recognition.
The Project is supported by the Operative Programme FEDER Andalucía 20017-2013 Global Grant Innovation-Technology-Industry of Andalucía.
Objectives
OPR is a smart field guide in the form of a mobile application that combines context and location awareness with image processing to help identify plants species, both in urban parks and in open natural spaces.
The smart system is based on image recognition, fuzzy logic and Bayesian statistics that aims to help people with no specific botanical knowledge to identify the plants species in an urban park or in a natural open space.
