Project co-financed by the Junta de Extremadura and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the COINVESTIGA Program, intended to finance the implementation of R&D projects by groups of companies, in the strategic areas established in the V Regional R&D&I Plan (2014-2017).
Project objective
HYPERQALIT is a platform designed to develop new models for monitoring fruit quality and maturity in processing tomato crops, using hyperspectral imaging and data analytics. The system provides a clean, reliable, and versatile way to determine tomato quality parameters in real time, as well as predict the optimal harvest time. This allows for better management and planning of cultivation tasks, preventing losses due to the presence of green or overripe fruit in the final product.
