Project type: Investigation

The Initiative is financed by the Junta de Andalucía, Ministry of University, Research and Innovation within the framework of the PLAnd Sequía Andalucía call, charged to the FEDER Andalucía 2021-2027 program and own resources, designed in accordance with the guidelines of the Research, Development and Innovation Strategy of Andalusia (EIDIA) 2021-2027 and the Smart Specialisation Strategy for Sustainability of Andalusia, S4 Andalucía.

Aim: Participants include onTech Innovation, the University of Seville (US), and the companies Rovimática and Soltel.
It will focus on the design and implementation of an advanced system for monitoring and managing crop water status. This innovative approach will enable the robust application of Controlled Deficit Irrigation (CDI) techniques, adjusting water supply and monitoring its appropriate application to the actual needs of the crops. This approach, based on the continuous and precise analysis of plant and soil conditions, will allow for the establishment of new irrigation allocations, thus ensuring more sustainable water use adapted to the specific conditions of each crop, as well as its widespread adoption by the sector.

This project is funded by the Junta de Andalucía, Ministry of University, Research and Innovation within the framework of the PLAnd Sequía Andalucía call, co-financed by the FEDER Andalucía 2021-2027 Program.
