On May 3rd, the Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) of Seville organized the first Workshop for the co-construction of the Olavide Dual model, an initiative that seeks to improve student employability and foster collaboration between the university and the business sectorFor this project, they had several collaborating companies and entities, including the Soltel Group.
What is the Olavide Dual model?
Led by the rector of the Pablo de Olavide University, Francisco Oliva Blázquez, and the general director of Employability and Entrepreneurship, Amapola Povedano Díaz, the Olavide Dual model is a teaching methodology that It combines academic training with work experience in companies and institutions, with the aim of preparing students for the world of work and improving their employability.
The initiative aims to give students the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom in a real work environment, acquiring professional skills and competencies in companies such as Soltel, a leading technology and software development company, is once again investing in talent and will repeat the experience in future workshops.
Objectives and advantages of the workshop
The 1st Workshop for the co-construction of the Olavide Dual model was created with the objective of generate shared knowledge among the agents that are part of the learning ecosystem in the DUAL Teaching Model, for the building a valid and successful model.
The event involved sharing an analysis of the current situation for the development of the Dual Education Model, identifying the needs and demands of companies and entities, evaluating available resources, defining objectives, and identifying obstacles and opportunities.
