This software platform is characterized by proposing a centralized solutionso that a single information repository stores and maintains traceability between all the components (processes, simple elements and decision rules) that make up a comprehensive clinical guide, so that A single platform provides modules to define, execute, monitor, and interoperate the clinical guide with the rest of the healthcare organization's systems and the patient's physical devices.(sensors, smartphones, etc.) and collaborative, so that if a healthcare professional, based on their experience, considers it necessary to improve or evolve a clinical guide, they can do so in an intuitive and user-friendly way, and that this modification can be used by another healthcare organization.

The working methodology and the IDE4ICDS platform are validated in a real scenario of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Therefore, the project designs and develops a clinical decision support system (CDSS) whose basis is the Clinical Practice Guidelines which, in turn, are based on Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM).
