In the HYPERMEAT initiative, we collaborate with a group of key organizations to safeguard food safety, improve the detection of foreign bodies in meat, and enhance the certification of Iberian pork quality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The creation of national Operational Groups has been made possible through the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-agri), which was established to bridge the gap between the research community and the agri-food and forestry sector. This sector needs to apply scientific knowledge to implement innovative and sustainable actions in the production, processing, and marketing processes. In April of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food launched a second call for Operational Groups, inviting stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to join forces. In a second phase, innovative pilot projects will be launched to develop solutions to the challenge addressed by each group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The HYPERMEAT operational group aims to improve meat quality by developing a prototype for non-invasive detection that allows the detection of microbiological contamination and foreign bodies in beef and pork, as well as determining the diet of Iberian pigs, using hyperspectral technology.<br \/>\nEntities from Andalusia, Extremadura, and the Community of Madrid make up this supra-regional operational group, for whose creation they have been granted a subsidy from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development within the framework of the 2014-2020 National Rural Development Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Led by El Encinar de Humienta, a leading company in the meat sector, Soltel joins this group along with Ambling Ingenier\u00eda y Servicios, which focuses on hyperspectral technology, the Extremadura Agri-food Technology Center (CTAEX), and MAFRIVISA, a wholesale trader of meat and meat products.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.soltel.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/elencinar.jpg\" alt=\"elencinar\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-bottom: 15px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.soltel.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Soltel.png\" alt=\"Soltel\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.soltel.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/CTAEX.jpg\" alt=\"CTAEX\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-bottom: 40px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.soltel.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/ambling.jpg\" alt=\"ambling\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-bottom: 40px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.soltel.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/mafrivisa.png\" alt=\"mafrivisa\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">HYPERMEAT addresses the major challenge within the meat industry's production system of safeguarding food safety and preventing the presence of foreign bodies, as current microbiological analysis methods are too time-consuming and, in the case of the latter, depend on human error. Furthermore, the certification of Iberian pork products based on their diet is susceptible to fraud, given that controls are random and infrequent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To solve this challenge, the members of the HYPERMEAT Operational Group will develop a technique that allows for instant microbiological results to be obtained for correcting possible errors in the production chain, detecting and identifying all types of foreign bodies, and determining the pigs' diet, allowing corrective actions to be taken immediately, improving the food safety of the production process, streamlining customer-supplier procedures, and obtaining quick and economical answers for companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In particular, <strong>Grupo Soltel contributes its experience in the development of interoperable, standards-based systems, the interpretation of images using Machine Learning techniques, and the exploitation of knowledge generated on the platform, developing intelligent systems to aid decision-making.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project is part of the line of work that Soltel has been developing in recent years, applying innovative integration technologies, <strong>Data analysis and exploitation in the agri-food sector<\/strong>.
