The Sevillian companies Past View and Soltel IT Solutions are the winners of the Regional Awards AJE 2013 to the Entrepreneurial Initiative and to the business Career, granted by the Andalusia Young Entrepreneurs Association (AJE-A).

The awards ceremony was held in the Real Alcázar of Seville, in an event that has brought together nearly 300 attendants including authorities, businessmen and associated from all Andalusia. A group of magicians and some opera singers also participated.

Seville mayor, Juan Ignacio Zoido, the president of the Andalusia Entrepreneurs Confederation (CEA), Santiago Herrero, the president of Seville Provincial Council, Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos, among other authorities, representatives from AJE and young businessmen from all Andalusia attended this event, sponsored by Adalid Inmark, Fundación Cobre las Cruces and Emasesa.

The AJE awards were announced last October by Andalusia Young Entrepreneurs Association under the slogan “Feel the magic, entrepreneurship” to pay homage once again to the youths that successfully carry out their business projects in these hard times.

Last march 7th was the end of the provincial phase submitted by almost 200 young companies from all Andalusia, where Past View and Soltel IT Solutions were the winners of the provincial phase prize and also the regional award, an iPAD, an MBA master funded by Foundation Vértice and a one-year communication service to assess then in their projects diffusion tasks.

The company Past View Sevilla has received the regional prize for the Entrepreneurial Initiative. With this award AJE recognizes the originality and effort of a group of young sevillians that have created an innovative formula that uses patrimony as a base to combine history and new technologies.

On its behalf, Soltel won the modality Business Career. It is a company created in 2002 that provides technical assistance and training in new technologies. It is specialized on IT services and has a staff of 150 professionals and presence in Spain (Seville, Badajoz and Madrid) and Mexico (Mexico D.F.).

In reference to the awards slogan, the president of AJE Andalusia, José Antonio Cabrera, has said in his speech that Past View and Soltel IT Solutions are true examples of AJE companies that have found the magic formula for business success, the join of innovation and efficiency, proving that youths are ready to change the course of our economy.
Cabrera has mentioned those young Andalusians that have to go abroad to search for a better future and has concluded his speech assuring that trusting the young is trusting the future.

On his part, Seville’s mayor Juan Ignacio Zoido has highlighted the capacity of youngsters to start up with rigor and generating jobs. Moreover, he advocated for promoting entrepreneurs, since youths are the engine of society, so he finds it necessary to ease the development of starting up initiatives.

In her speech, the president of the Spanish Confederation of Young Businessmen Associations (CEAJE), Pilar Andrade, has recalled that entrepreneurs have a bit of bold and adventurous, at the same time that she demanded the approval of an Entrepreneur Law, remarking the importance of endorsement to avoid business failure.

Moreover, Andrade noted the CEAJE petition already achieved of bringing back de 50 € fee for self-employed workers. She ended up asking the regional innovation councils to boost training in the business development model.

Finally, the president of the Young Businessmen Association of Seville (AJE-Sevilla), Mónica Moreno, has played with the concepts of magic, illusion and impossible to point out that the best magicians are the businessmen that generate jobs.

THE WINNERS

Past View is a young company that uses new technologies as a tool to interpret cultural heritage. It has developed an APP for iPhone that enables a new way of enjoying cultural tourism, since it is an innovative formula that uses patrimony as a base to combine history and new technologies.

Past View is a device made up of a smartphone supporting an application and a pair of video glasses that let us see infographic recreations of how a certain space looked like in a certain period of History. The user interacts with real historic characters becoming a main protagonist of History.

From November 2012, tourists and local citizens can enjoy two different products; Past View Metropol is a video guide for Metropol Parasol where with the mere gesture of putting on the glasses the user comes closer to each one of the monuments that can be seen from the viewpoint; and can also see an infographic recreation of roman Hispalis.

Moreover, Past View Seville Route allows the user to visit the main monuments of the city. In every Past View spot, using the glasses, he will move into the most important moments of the history of Seville: the day the Giralda was inaugurated, Cervantes entering prison or the arrival of the Indians fleet.

From its constitution in 2012 Past View has hired seven people. A young and dynamic team, made up of professionals in the fields of History, communication, infographics and tourism. The whole team, including its founders, are under 40 years old.

On its behalf, Soltel won the modality Business Career. It is a company created in 2002 that provides technical assistance and training in new technologies. It is specialized on IT services and provides value to organizations through Information and Communication technologies (ICT).

Soltel has a staff of 150 professionals and an annual turnover of more than five million euros in the last exercise and presence in Spain (Seville, Badajoz and Madrid) and Mexico (Mexico D.F.).

It is a company that provides value to organizations through Information and Communication technologies (ICT), with a continuous innovation attitude, searching for the right specialization in each one of its business divisions: systems engineering, outsourcing and technical assistance, software engineering and training.

Its business is focused on innovation, with the kick off of its mobile devices, SolCom and SolKar, and its web applications for process management optimization and administration, SolCmi and SolGroup, Soltel Glutenfreelist, co-financed by Plan Avanza, the e-democracy platform for Seville Council, among others.
